Hello there, I'm Peter Hawkey, I live in the North East of Scotland, not far from Peterhead. This site contains a few pages on my various hobbies and likes. I am a keen amateur flute player and love the traditional music of the British Isles and Ireland. I also love classical music, particularly of the last 150 years or so, although I'm not set in my ways as to what music I like and what I dislike. As I don't play regularly with a group or orchestra, I have created a number of midi files from scores which I use as accompaniment to play along to and which I've put in the Billy-no-Mates section.
On the folky side of things, I have included a couple of pages with some tunes of my own and I hope to include some other tunes written by friends, if you have anything you want to include, drop me a line. I am also a member of the Ugie Folk Club (although it's kind of difficult to get to the meetings from Haifa) and have included links to their web pages with details of past and forthcoming events. I've also recently started notating all of the tunes that I know and have included a number of well known (and perhaps not so well know) tunes.
